Detroit, MI, October 24, 2022 — Infobip Shift 2023, the largest developer conference in Southeast Europe, will be held on the 18th and 19th of September. The 12th edition of the flagship regional tech event will once again gather developers from around the world on the Croatian coastline, returning to the city of Zadar. The 2023 edition follows this year’s Infobip Shift which brought together more than 4,000 attendees and more than 80 speakers from across the tech sector, creating an experience that resonated in the global and regional community.

Showstopper 2022 edition

The two-day, multistage hybrid Infobip Shift 2022 was dedicated to people passionate about software, including developers, founders, industry disruptors, developer relations (DevRel) experts, and global tech giants. Attendees had access to a broad range of interactive, engaging and exciting content, alongside social events, with topics ranging from the state of web User Interface all the way to blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs.

Ivan Burazin, Infobip’s Chief Developer Experience Officer, and Infobip Shift’s founder, said: ”Infobip Shift 2022 has once again proved itself to be a central event for the global developer community. This year’s event was a huge success, exceeding previous years in terms of the level of the event production and customer experience, and laying the foundations for continued growth and international expansion. It was our biggest year yet, with more than 4,000 people attending, over 40% of whom came from outside of Croatia.”, and concludes: ” We will stay in Croatia, but we are excitedly working on a new edition on another continent, which we will announce soon!”

The event comprised six stages, with the circular main stage splitting into three separate, smaller stages. Stages are also dedicated to Web3, Cloud Native, and Infobip’s Startup Tribe, which brings together the world’s most innovative startups to help fast-track their growth and development. Speakers included representatives from global tech giants such as Microsoft, Google, and Cisco, alongside global tech stars such as Charity Majors, CTO at Honeycomb, Hakon Wium Lie, the father of programming language CSS, and Kent C. Dodds, co-founder of Remix.run, Tejas Kumar from Xata.io, and Kitze, creator of Sizzy.

Infobip acquired Shift Conference in 2021 marking a strategic move to put developers front and center of its growth strategy. Following the acquisition, Infobip appointed Shift’s founder and CEO, Ivan Burazin as Chief Developer Experience Officer. The acquisition supports his vision for the conference to become one of the largest developer events in the world and provides the resources for Infobip Shift to expand globally. The following year Infobip acquired business tech magazine Netokracija, to provide best-in-class content for the developer community and further cement its developer-led approach.
