SUMMARY:Protecting Applications Running On Kubernetes
DESCRIPTION:It’s a common misconception that you don’t have to protect applications and data running on Kubernetes because they’re stateless. But this thinking can lead to application vulnerabilities and critical data loss. As more and more stateful applications are running in Kubernetes environments\, they present a tempting foothold for attackers to exfiltrate unprotected data\, and they provide a stepping stone for bad actors to escape that container and move laterally through your environment. As stateful apps in Kubernetes environments become more ubiquitous\, having a comprehensive data protection strategy is a must. In addition to data protection\, backup and recovery shouldn’t be an afterthought–you should be able to recover not only your application’s data\, but also your app configurations and be able to quickly spin up a copy of your Kubernetes app on a different\, net-new cluster.
