Carlos Escapa

Carlos Escapa leads a global practice of Data & AI in Amazon Web Services' Global Systems Integrators division. Before rejoining AWS, Carlos was at Meta AI, where he ran Meta AI's strategic alliances. He was previously Senior Business Development Manager at AWS where he built the global channels for AI/ML. And prior to that he was co-founder and CEO of VirtualSharp Software, with a successful exit to Unitrends Inc (Insight Venture Partners). Carlos has an MS from Virginia Tech in Computer Science, and a BS from Illinois State University. He is a guest lecturer of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence at Berkeley-Haas, Stanford, ESADE and IE.
Mike Rothman
Chief Strategy Officer of Techstrong Group & GM of Techstrong Research
Mike Rothman is the GM of Techstrong Research, bringing 30+ years of experience as a research analyst and security leader. He is recognized as a voice of reason for business leaders in an often over-hyped and extremely complex security industry. For the past 10 years, his research has focused on cloud security and, most recently, DevSecOps and securing cloud-native environments. Rothman helps organizations navigate this disruptive migration without compromising information and infrastructure protection. Mike also serves as chief strategy officer for Techstrong Group and frequently appears at industry conferences and on the various Techstrong TV streaming video programs.

He’s a strategically focused professional that is comfortable advising enterprise clients on global AWS cloud data journey. He has invested his last 10 years into data driven decision making and custom software development as a certified Master Technology Architect and certified AWS Solution Architect Professional. He’s worked cross industry to find the unique and mundane patterns of data ingestion, transformation, and persistence to ensure that the data that we collect is used to impact our business partners decision making.
